Correction Contact

Send possible factual corrections to yldigital.support@gmail.com. Include the page URL, the line or section that may be wrong, and the official source that supports the change.

Do not send personal tax records, addresses, account numbers, or private documents. A source link, page URL, and a short description are usually enough to start review.

What Counts As A Correction

A correction is a possible factual problem with a number, fiscal year, budget version, source link, source date, label, definition, or explanation. The review starts with official sources and the source hierarchy described on the methodology page.

A disagreement with a public policy choice is different from a factual correction. Policy views can be important, but this site is not a public comment forum and does not take advocacy positions.

What To Include

A useful correction report should include the page URL, the exact line or section that may be wrong, the official source that supports the change, and the date you checked that source. If the issue is a broken link, include the link text and the page where it appears.

If a number is involved, include the fiscal year, budget version, source name, and source URL. A budget number without those details should not be added to a public page.

How Review Will Work

Corrections should be checked against official Montgomery County budget pages and publications first, then official dataMontgomery datasets, Council records, and MCPS sources when those are the right records for the claim. Local news may help explain context, but it should not override an official source for an official number.

If a correction is accepted, the affected page should be updated with the corrected wording, source note, and last updated date. If the issue is unclear or depends on a source contradiction, the page should avoid publishing the disputed figure until the official record is checked.

What This Site Will Not Do

The MVP does not host public comments, accounts, forums, or personal budget lookups. It also does not display contract/vendor personal addresses. Corrections should improve source accuracy and reader clarity, not collect personal user data.
