The Update Promise
Updates should be useful during budget season, not a daily marketing email. The promise is simple: budget-season updates, plain-English explanations, and no daily spam.
There is no embedded signup form in the MVP. The link opens an email request to yldigital.support@gmail.com. A separate newsletter provider can be added later only after the provider, privacy language, and data handling are approved.
Support And Sponsorship
MoCo Budget Explained can accept support only if it does not change budget explanations, source choices, correction decisions, or page priorities. A sponsor may not review, edit, or approve budget coverage.
Sponsorship questions can be sent to yldigital.support@gmail.com. The MVP does not include payment processing, ad tracking, sponsored article placement, or reader targeting.
Editorial Independence Rules
Budget pages must continue to use official sources first. Sponsorship cannot make a number appear without fiscal year, version label, and source. It also cannot make the site favor a department, elected official, company, school system position, tax position, or advocacy campaign.
If support is added later, the public page should identify the support relationship in plain language. Any material conflict should be disclosed or declined.
What People Often Misunderstand
A support page is not permission to turn the site into an advertising product. Readers should still be able to use every budget explainer without a popup, login, paywall, tracking script, or newsletter gate.
Source And Trust Note
This page does not publish budget figures. The same sitewide rule still applies: budget facts and numbers belong on public pages only when they are linked to source notes and version labels.
