A recommended budget is the County Executive’s proposal to the County Council.
For the operating budget, the County Executive recommends the budget and Public Services Program to the Council by March 15.
Why It Matters
Recommended figures are useful because they show the Executive’s proposal, but they can change during Council review.
Common Misunderstanding
Recommended does not mean approved or adopted. A recommended figure should keep its version label until final Council action and official approved documents are verified.
